We Do Not Accept Every Artist
KB Recording Group is selective about the artists it considers for record deals. A funded record deal requires more than talent alone. We look for artists who demonstrate commercial potential, audience traction, professional readiness, and a clear reason why investment into their career makes business sense.
If you are not ready for a record deal yet, that does not mean you are not worth developing. It means your next step may be artist development to properly prepare you for a record deal.
Readiness is measured by audience traction, release history, and commercial potential, not talent alone. Most artists land in "Developing" before their first submission, and that's the right place to start.

Not only are they unbelievably talented and professional, but they genuinely care about my music and about me as a person. I get to wake up every day and live my dream with a team that believes in me, pushes me to be better, and makes the whole journey so much fun. I honestly don’t think it gets any better than this."
Frequently Asked Questions
A record deal is a funded investment for artists who already show real audience traction and commercial potential. A production deal is a development path for artists with talent who aren't there yet, built around stronger recordings, branding, and release strategy.
Production and artist development engagements are structured around each artist's specific needs, so pricing isn't one-size-fits-all. Cost depends on factors like whether you need vocal lessons or development, custom production or sonic branding, and how developed your career, business, and brand already are. The best way to get a clear cost estimate is to submit for consideration, so we can assess your specific needs and provide direct pricing.
Publishing administration covers registering and tracking your compositions so you're paid correctly on royalties generated across the world, wherever your music is played, streamed, or used. Sync licensing means actively pitching your songs for placement in film, television, advertising, and other media. We also identify catalog placement opportunities and co-write connections to help grow your catalog over time.
Yes. Publishing and sync consideration requires that you own or clearly control the rights to the compositions you submit. If ownership is unclear or split among multiple parties, that needs to be resolved before we can review your catalog for placement opportunities.
No. No company can honestly guarantee outcomes like these, and any company that tells you it can should be treated as a red flag. What we can offer is honest evaluation, professional development, and real opportunities where an artist is a genuine fit.
Yes. Weekly private vocal lessons with Tana Rose are available as a fully standalone service, whether or not you're pursuing artist development, a record deal, or anything else with KB Recording Group.
Both. If you're based in the Los Angeles area, you're welcome to take lessons in person at our studio. If not, lessons are also available virtually.
A consultation gives you direct, honest feedback on where you stand and what to do next, and how to avoid costly mistakes before you invest further in your career. It's your time, so ask about anything, the industry, your specific situation, or wherever you need clarity.
$75 for a 30-minute Creative Career Consultation, or $150 for a deeper 60-minute Creative Career Consultation. Both are available remotely by video conference or phone call.
Yes, that's exactly what consultations are for. If you're not sure whether you're ready for a record deal, production deal, or something else, a consultation is the right first step.
Due to volume, we can't respond to everyone immediately, but we will respond within 30 days. Every submission is reviewed for fit and we do not accept every creative.
Yes. We evaluate every artist on music quality, audience traction, and professional readiness rather than genre, and our roster reflects a range of styles.

Go to Publishing & Sync →Proven Momentum

Music Production and Artist Development for Serious Independent Artists
A production deal or artist development path is for artists with talent and potential who are ready to develop their music, brand, and audience at a professional level, guided by a clear career strategy, whether the goal is a funded record deal, a sustainable independent career, or something in between.
What a Production & Artist Development Deal Is
A production deal or artist development path serves two kinds of artists: those looking to build toward a future record deal, and those looking to build a strong, sustainable independent career on their own terms. A record deal requires its own business case, real audience traction, revenue potential, professional readiness, and proof that investment can produce a return, so not every artist is there yet, and not everyone wants that path.
Under this deal structure KB Recording Group works with serious artists to develop stronger recordings, branding, release strategy, marketing direction, creative identity, and commercial readiness.
This May Be Right for You If
You have talent but a limited audience size, need stronger production or release-ready recordings, or your brand, visuals, content, or rollout strategy need development. You are serious about building a profitable music career, coachable and willing to execute, and want a real path toward a stronger, more sustainable career, whether or not a funded record deal is the end goal.
Production & Artist Development Services May Include
Stronger Recordings
Production and vocal work brought up to release-ready quality.
Branding
Visual and creative identity that matches the artist's direction.
Release Strategy
A rollout plan built around the right moment and the right audience.
Marketing Direction
Guidance on positioning, content, and audience growth.
Creative Identity
A clearer sense of what makes the artist worth following.
Commercial Readiness
Building toward real, lasting traction, whether that leads to a record deal or a strong independent career.
Ready to Start Developing Your Sound?
Like our record deals, production and development opportunities go to artists who are coachable, consistent, and ready to put in the work. Still not sure if this is the right fit? Book a consultation instead.
Record Deal Consideration for Artists With Real Momentum
KB Recording Group selectively considers artists for record deal opportunities when there is a clear business case for investment, growth, and long-term commercial potential.
Talent Alone Is Not Enough
A record deal is an investment. Before KB Recording Group considers funding an artist, we look at the artist's music, audience, brand, professionalism, release history, streaming data, social media presence, revenue potential, and overall readiness for a profitable career as a recording artist.
What We Look For
We look for released music available on major streaming platforms, meaningful audience traction, and a growing fanbase, paired with strong music quality, professional branding and visuals, and active social media engagement. As a baseline requirement, we look for at least 30,000 monthly listeners on Spotify or equivalent traction elsewhere. Beyond the numbers, we look for a clear artistic identity, real evidence of commercial potential, and readiness to operate at a professional level.
What a Record Deal May Include
A funded record deal covers the cost of production and release, including recording, mixing, mastering, and rollout. It comes with marketing and distribution resources built to reach a real audience, and label backing that opens doors and industry relationships an independent artist would otherwise spend years building. Every deal is structured around what that specific artist actually needs to grow, not a one-size-fits-all contract.
Apply, or Take the Next Step to Get There
If you have real momentum, apply for a record deal. If you're not quite there yet, a production & artist development deal can help you build toward one. Still not sure which route to take? Book a consultation instead.

Music Publishing and Sync Licensing Support for Artists, Songwriters, and Rights Holders
KB Publishing Group helps position songs for publishing administration, sync licensing opportunities, and strategic exploitation across film, television, advertising, digital media, and other commercial uses.
Registering a song is only the starting point. Real publishing support means actively pitching songs, tracking rights, and positioning a catalog for opportunities as they come up.
Music supervisors move fast. Clean stems, clear metadata, and genre or mood tagging are what make a song easy to place in film, television, and advertising.
You own or control the rights to your recordings and compositions, and have a catalog of finished, release-ready songs. You want your music considered for film, television, or advertising placement, and you understand publishing is a long-term strategy, not a guarantee.
Rights Must Be Clear
No company can guarantee placements. What we offer is strategic positioning, pitch readiness, and rights clarity, not guaranteed results. Every submission must have clear, verifiable ownership before it can be reviewed.
Ready to Submit Your Catalog?
Share your catalog and rights information and our publishing team will review it for fit. Still not sure if your catalog is ready? Book a consultation instead.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms, together with any separate written agreement you enter into with KB Recording Group, constitute the entire agreement between you and KB Recording Group regarding the Site and supersede any prior agreements regarding the Site. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent; we may assign these Terms without restriction, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
